So this happened, and basically the internet dared me to write a story where MPhelps and Kaner met and fucked and that union caused a newfound appreciation in hockey for the human mermaid himself

Your Kane voice is super, super endearing: he's kind of a douche bag, but there's something kind of wistful and sweet about it (haha, your PKane voice sounds an awful lot like a slightly less douchey Jackson Whittmore in my head - also, I love Jackson a lot so hurray). I like how matter-of-fact this all is, and I like how you write Michael's awkwardness and how he comes to terms with it, and peripherally, getting to experience all the things he maybe wasn't able to in the last few years, so seeing everything like it's brand new.

I cannot believe I just read 5000 words of Kane/Phelps - please take this as an honest endorsement of how much I like your writing!

P.S. My roommate and I are still holding out for some Jeff Carter/Ryan Lochte, so you should probably get on that in the near future! ;)

Patrick Kane is my faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaavorite. He is douchey and ridiculous, but every time I see him in front of my face, I get the most ridiculous case of the giggles and just end up clutching myself with glee. So! Thank you for saying that you liked this characterization of him. I always dig hearing that.
