If you stare into a mirror flanked by two white candles, you will see the spirit of a loved one who has passed away.

If an eyelash falls out, put it on the back of the hand, make a wish and throw it over your shoulder. If it flies off the hand the wish will be granted.

If the palm of your right hand itches it means you will soon be getting money. If the palm of your left hand itches it means you will soon be giving out money.

If your right eye jumps, you are going to hear good news. If your left eye jumps, you are going to hear bad news.

If your cheeks suddenly feel on fire, someone is talking about you.

If the first butterfly you see in the year is white, you will have good luck all year.

It's bad luck to leave a house through a different door than the one used to come into it.

Amber beads, worn as a necklace, can protect against illness or cure colds.

20 Weird Superstitions | Signs & Superstitions

Round 13: Unlucky 13 celebrates all things superstitious. Black cats, ladders, throwing salt over the shoulder? These things may be common, but we've looked a little further, and present to you an interpretative theme using Superstitions of all shapes and sizes as inspirations. What a lucky (or maybe unlucky) round to have!

+ Icons must be within LiveJournal standards (100x100 pixels, .png, .gif, or .jpg format; 40kb or less).
