Nights are not for everyone. When you get off-shift, eat, take a Benadryl or a glass of wine, orgasm, and sleep. If in two or so weeks you still feel awful post-shift, try to switch out.
I've worked nights the last 19 years of my life. You're either IN or OUT working nights, the day shift crew can't even work a couple of overtimes on our shift without wiping out, but most of us on nights cannot stand the idea of waking up so early to do dayshift.
