How old is that book? Weren't they originally classed as reptiles? If it's up to date, however, there's no excuse.:P

The book is a currently updated book, but all non-mammalian synapsids are in there.

I guess I'll have to deal with the artficial term "reptilia" as meaning "non-mammalian, non-avian amniotes".

Yes. Yes you will. Mucking about with registers is a bad thing. It doesn't matter if its wrong, as long as its consistent. After all we're not re-labelling everything in the museum just because the dinosaur that Mantell found isn't really Iguanodon after all.
