As many people who know me IRL probably already know, I suffer from a mild case of that affliction which is far more common in men: the 'I'm more macho than you' syndrome. You know the one: it requires its sufferers to constantly win arguments to prove their prowess in maths and science. It requires constant in advised displays of physical strength

I like feminine clothing that... lets me hammer in nails and go for mile-long walks at a moment's notice if need be. Which is to say, I like jeans and t-shirts that are tailored to women, but still... jeans and t-shirts.

And, okay, slightly frillier tops too. But.

I like skirts! I own several! I... almost never wear any of them. Except to dance in or in the hottest part of summer, and even then there are some dressier ones that aren't suitable for that that pretty much never get worn. And makeup, god. I own some. I used to wear it more, when I was living in Egypt and eeeeeverybody around me seemed to wear lots more, and to some extent when I was working at a bank, but if I can get away with not wearing makeup, and having my hair down half the time? Oh do I seize on it.

I like getting all dolled up once in a while, but then I like going for a month without doing so. *wry*

I do ask for directions, though. One cannot have my sporadic sense of direction and not accustom oneself to that, I feel.

Bras suck. There's a reason corsets were in style for so long.

But I feel you, even if I have the same 'problem' from a different angle-- I find myself going "But I don't need any more clothes." I always need bras (that fit and are not sports bras. I have many sports bras, in order to keep my boobs out of my lap. My bra issues are less 'I don't want to go try bras on right now' than 'sweet merciful FUCK where is the nice balance between cups that will hold all of my boobs and straps that neither crush my ribcage like an elastic boa constrictor nor close so loosely my that I have fallen OUT of the bra?') and I am ever on the hunt for The Perfet Black Pumps, but aside from that, I keep trying to get rid of clothes.
