Okay, so I vaguely remember things about the original Ghostbusters but I can't actually remember ever watching it? But I have a friend - @TricksyLiesmith - who loves 80s films, so I was prepared to go along with her and thought I'd probably find it fun. Have you been yet? Did you enjoyed it???

Ended up getting the original this week - it was either pay for postage for an Amazon delivery or add something cheap to the cart, so why not - and since I don't have nostalgia for it and it's 30 years old...it didn't stand up so well. But my sister laughed at it a lot, especially the bad flirting, so that was a win. Looking forward to seeing what she thinks of the new one.

I loved the original movie but I had different standards at the time, and it was really the cartoon I have nostalgia for, so I wasn't 100% sure how this was going to play out but given the givens, I was definitely contributing to the opening weekend. I tempered my expectations but, like you said, it was just such a FUN movie to watch!

Just watched the original this week with my sister and not having seen it before, so not having the nostalgia, alas it didn't really stand up. But then it has to be forgiven for being so very 80s. My sister laughed at it a lot though, so I'm looking forward to seeing what she thinks of the new one. YES, just good fun, and I loved that :D

I enjoyed it so much! My boyfriend and my basically-sister-in-law loved it too. I went in with no expectations other than Ladies and Pissing Off MRA Trolls, because I only ever saw bits of the original, but wow, it was so good.

And I have a massive crush on Holtzman. :D

(I do love that for some of us the trolling contributed to us seeing a film we perhaps wouldn't otherwise have bothered with, or at least not at the pictures, HA.)
