But at least the infinite scroll will be able to turned off, so that's...something. BUT trying to re-fixate myself on happier things, so, writing!
Re: writing, oh, yes, I'm devoting this month to finishing things, too. All of the things *headdesk* no NaNo (which really is misnamed) but wrisomifu is my home in November, it's wonderful. Ten minutes everyday, the community is just lovely.

I read on lar_laughs post (sorry, too tired to multi-comment) that people have been saying you've been over-reacting about the changes, which is stupid. It's important to cater for people who can't handle that amount of white space or certain font sizes or whatever just as much as it is to cater for people who's internet connection can't deal with infinite scroll or people who are sight impaired and use text talk (although I know more about hard of hearing issues to be fair, but still ( ... )

And yes, exactly. I guess I was also part of a community (an RP game, actually) where, when the last lot of changes hit and people who used speech-to-text software reported changes, the game went '...screw this, this isn't cool' and moved over to DW. I'm still using both sites, as most of my comms are here, but that attitude is something I appreciated.
The overreaction accusations...bah. Because I like lying very still in bed for hours afraid to move even my eyes for the pain, clearly? *facepalms*
But, yeah, I get the 'I chose this', too. I just wish....LJ didn't make it so hard, or make it so we have to employ work-arounds.
WriSo is the beeeeeeeeeeeest. It's just for November, but today is the first, so hopefully sign-ups are still open.
