> For people worrying about the upcoming LJ changes there’s some further information that you might want to look at here. To summarise, apparently we’ll be able to turn off the infinite scroll on the f-list page and we’ll be able to “customise background images”, which suggest we’ll be able to limit the amount of white space or develop a work ( Read more... )

I'm still angry at LJ - a) another demonstration of their communications, b) accusing those users who confirmed the translation liars (the rep might have misspoken, but that's what she said), c) still no word on changing anything else - font size isn't the be-all and end-all of usability and accessibility, which...I have dyslexia, I get migraines, these things are highly important to me and LJ consistently doesn't care, so I'm out of patience with them *sighs*

But at least the infinite scroll will be able to turned off, so that's...something. BUT trying to re-fixate myself on happier things, so, writing!

Re: writing, oh, yes, I'm devoting this month to finishing things, too. All of the things *headdesk* no NaNo (which really is misnamed) but wrisomifu is my home in November, it's wonderful. Ten minutes everyday, the community is just lovely.

Oh, I hear where you're coming from. Their communication skills are dire and I want more options on my journal style, thanks very much. The f-list is where most readers spend most of their time, so what's the point of allowing us to have our own journal styles and then saying that most of the time we can't actually use it? And as someone with a paid account, I've given money for a service that doesn't deliver.

I read on lar_laughs post (sorry, too tired to multi-comment) that people have been saying you've been over-reacting about the changes, which is stupid. It's important to cater for people who can't handle that amount of white space or certain font sizes or whatever just as much as it is to cater for people who's internet connection can't deal with infinite scroll or people who are sight impaired and use text talk (although I know more about hard of hearing issues to be fair, but still ( ... )

Long comment is procrastination on an action scene of all things (why did I de-age Natasha and make her dangerous again, why), so :D!

And yes, exactly. I guess I was also part of a community (an RP game, actually) where, when the last lot of changes hit and people who used speech-to-text software reported changes, the game went '...screw this, this isn't cool' and moved over to DW. I'm still using both sites, as most of my comms are here, but that attitude is something I appreciated.

The overreaction accusations...bah. Because I like lying very still in bed for hours afraid to move even my eyes for the pain, clearly? *facepalms*

But, yeah, I get the 'I chose this', too. I just wish....LJ didn't make it so hard, or make it so we have to employ work-arounds.

WriSo is the beeeeeeeeeeeest. It's just for November, but today is the first, so hopefully sign-ups are still open.

Heh, yeah *shify eyes* gotta stop commenting so much and actually write, la. WriSo sign ups ended on October 31st apparently, which is fair enough. I'll make a note for next year. And I will write. I will, I will, I will!
