I'm afraid things *are* going downhill for them now. I've finally hit the home stretch, and they're going to have to earn their HEA. *rubs hands together*
Heh, I was putting off writing the scene with wolf!Draco because I thought it would be a serious angst-fest. But Draco turned out so indignant and snarky that it was a pleasure to write, and it was actually that scene that got me back into the fic. I wish I'd had a go at it months ago!
I'm really glad that bit with Harry worked for you, especially as I know you had your reservations about it. I could have written it another way, but I really wanted him to find himself *capable* of killing (especially as he's so *angry* in this fic) but consciously choosing to reject it as an option. The only problem was pulling it off!
I'm working on the next chapter, I promise! I just keep getting distracted by M/M!fail:The Sequel and Fantastic Beasts and where to find them. (Two things which are not related in any way, except as procrastinating tools.;D)
Yep, 'fraid so. There's fail on the extremes of both sides, and a lot of thought-provoking meta in the middle. My feelings on it, especially as a bi woman, are...complicated, to say the least. I've never read any original M/M romance - romance isn't my thing, really, outside of fanfic - so I can't really comment on just how objectifing it is, and appropriation is Bad..but I read slash PWPs and have been known to watch gay porn, so y'know... And then there's the whole 'men telling women what to do' thing, and the whole straight women vs Gay men while erasing the LBT thing. Ah, intersectionality. *sighs*

The last battle was even worse than I'd feared. I felt for Harry and Draco. And now things look to be going downhill!
