Oh, fella: very quirky, dark lyrics that read like they've been Tim Burton-infused and melodies that range from melancholy ballads to hard, cynical rockers, all pretty smart as such goes.

Our April 11th show coincided with their most recent appearance here. People were telling me a) I should see them, b) our show might not draw well because of the conflict. ;-)

Considering they're way famouser than us, I think we were lucky to get anyone at our show that night. But now I get why people tell me about them.

They've clearly been influential, because I can think of two local acts with a similar "chicks with cellos" m.o. Including the band my guitarist's wife plays in, The Sob Sisters.

That would be good! I'll assume it won't be of the Britney-Spears-shave-'cause-I-don't-want-them-taking-DNA-samples-from-my-hair ilk. Because that's kind of a turn-off. :)
