Thank you so much! I'm really, really happy you liked it. I was nervous to post something so long in a new fandom, and, haha, this is probably dorky of me, but it's a relief to get such kind feedback.
I'm glad you liked this version of Mal! There have been some pretty fantastic takes on her character already so there was a lot to live up to! Thank you again for your generous words. I really, really appreciate it. <3
Hahaha, that is beyond okay! I'm REALLY THRILLED that you like this to that degree, and that the characters (even the OCs! <3) worked for you. My day, it is made. ♥
I'm so exited to read this, you have no idea! I couldn't believe my eyes when saw that you posted inception fic, and - with two favorite couples of mine, Dom/Mal and Arthur/Eames! I will be back later with a proper comment, and for now - YAY! I'm saving this to my e-book right this second! <333
LOL, OH MAN. Okay, fair warning, don't get too excited about the Arthur/Eames! Haha, it is a smaller part of the story than the pairing listings might suggest. ER. I hope you still like this!
Hahaha, I am glad you are excited, though! You are great. <333
I'm halfway through it, and I understand now your comment about Arthur/Eames :D :D :D But don't you worry, I really like it anyway. I love your Arthur and your Mal, and Dom. So, I'm off to read again! You made an awesome story! <33
Ah, wow! Thank you so much for your incredibly kind feedback. Um! I'm really beyond happy that you liked Kit. I know OC's are not always the easiest to get into, but it makes me glad that you enjoyed her! And it's great to hear that you liked Mal, and that those details rang true for you--she's such an interesting character, with so much...possibility, you know? I liked writing her!
HAHA, OKAY, I am getting obnoxious-sounding now, so I will end with another huge thank you. I appreciate you!
Haha, no need to chill out at all! I'm so glad that this story gets you excited! I love hearing that you are reading it and finding different things; I did intend for Cobb to have greased the wheels a little bit in making sure Arthur had somebody around for the day, and I'm really thrilled that it came across, and that it added layers to the coda.
Hahaha, OH MAN. You are really lovely and I am REALLY BAD AT TAKING GOOD WORDS, GENERALLY, SO. THANKS. <3
It comes as no surprise to me that of all the excellent Inception fic I have read, this is the first that I feel like is way better than the source material. Which is just a tiny fraction of what I want to say about how amazing this is and how much I loved it and how it was everything I loved about your writing; intelligent and hopeful and heartbreaking and a little silly, but most of all about real people with their foibles and tragedies and tiny memories imbued with huge significance. UGH.
ALSO. You`re still alive! Yay!! I was thinking about you last week, and I meant to send you an email, and then totally forgot, and it was such a thrill to see your name pop up on my flist this morning.
MEGHAN. I'm BEAMING RIGHT NOW just to hear from you!! I've been thinking about you, too, and I keep looking for you online, but we must be keeping different schedules now! Let's talk soon!! I'm going to send you an email right after this. <3 <3 <3
UM. I'm beyond glad that you liked this. It's intimidating to write for a new fandom, especially one that's had the, like, creative explosion this one has! Oh man! If this can stand up to the source material AT ALL I will be content. Thank you. <3
God, I think I loved this. Reading how the entire process began, with the PASIV, and how the POV switches between Cobb and then Mal and finally Arthur. How you tied them, and opened up so many possibilities. I don't think I will ever make my mind up on how the movie ends (or where it began, actually) but this exploration of the characters, god, of Mal, broke my heart into so many pieces. You have this fast-paced-the-sudden-stop wait of writing that resembles thought processing so well, sometimes I'm immersed in your fics and certain phrases hit me harder because by the time I finish thinking them out I need to go back and re-read them, the emotion catches up to me so fast. And in this case, applied to Mal and her descent, it was just so heart-wrenching but beautiful. This is an epic story, and it feels like four different novels all intertwined. You're an amazing writer.
I'm glad that these versions of these characters worked for you, and that Mal, especially felt possible, and that you fell into step with them! That's the most I could ask for.
It's super interesting to hear how the story reads to you, so thank you for sharing that with me! I'm glad that the pace is something that adds to your engagement with the story, that is really neat!
Thank you again, I really appreciate your thoughtful words.
