Wow...what a random find.....I never thought I'd read about that night again.....let alone have radio 3 jog my hazy memory of my first time ever on stage....I played that 'legendary' show, playing guitar with the scapegoats. I was terrified, I'd never played in front of people before and ended the night passed out on the floor of my buddies bathroom......and the terrible irony of the night is that neither band managed to recover from it, neither band played another show. Escapes Goats broke up & eventually became funeral songs, I ended up leaving the scapegotes and joining a nascent Carbon Dating Service and spending a couple years playing with them bedfore finally having the guts to start my own band (Slow down, Molasses), while Ryan, the singer/songwriter of the scapegoats went on to finish med school (and just recently graduated/started recording a new record).
Weird....I'm really amazed anyone remembers that
