How fitting. This post about "spam" attracted no fewer than seven spam comments all from the same IP address. (Don't look for them - they're screened and I'm about to delete them all.) This problem seems to be getting worse. A couple of people I know frequently get streams of Japanese gobbledegook whenever they post public entries, and it seems to be happening on my journal more often than not (though it's novel for them to be posting on the most recent entry - usually when I post something it seems to trigger spam comments on particular entries which are a year or two old).

For the record: 59.171.183.44 = 59-171-183-44.rev.home.ne.jp

It's always from Japan, too.
