The gentleman who's taken to hanging around outside the building seems to think I am the reincarnation of Penelope. As in, THE Penelope, of Ancient Greek epic tales, of the Homeric variety in particular.

I wonder what gives him this idea?

I wager the same thing that's got him thinking I used to be Mary Magdalene.

Did you ever tell him your name, though? I didn't, and while it was a bit off, Mary is a rather common name with lots of variations - Penelope not so much.

I didn't tell him my name, which is the really strange thing. Unless he's one of us in disguise, or something, I don't see how he'd know it.

I never told him my name is Marietta, either.

Perhaps it's our soon to be former landlord. He does appear to be rather bored as of late.

You know what, that really wouldn't surprise me.

He didn't, by any chance, happen to catch you fending off suitors and pining for an absent husband?

Alas, Michael, he did not. That would make life a little bit more interesting if he had done, though.

So you mean that wouldn't be a normal Thursday for you?

Unfortunately not. The closest thing to it would be fending off over-amorous former clients when out on social occasions, I suppose, but certainly no suitors.

The first name, I assume.

He doesn't know it, as far as I'm aware.
