I really like this and how you explore Snape's motivations for joining Lord Voldemort. I do hope you continue this.

Thank you. I wanted to try something different with why and how Snape became a Death Eater. I sure hope to continue this as well, a few ideas already come to mind.

xD That's actually the part I kept rewriting until finally I just gave up and left it alone. Voldemort and Snape are both so difficult to write! And together sldkjf.

But thanks, I'm pretty sure I will continue this, if only to have more practice writing Snape and other Death Eaters.

By the way, I was wondering for week 4's voting over at deathly_contest, maybe we could do a poll kind of thing perhaps? No idea, just wondering if we should revamp the voting. I completely forgot about sign-ups this week, but I edited that in and then got to thinking about the voting system. Any ideas?

Sort of. But not exactly? I mean, we'd have to edit it per week. Like week 3 we would have had first and second polls, but week 2 would have been just first? I guess it just depends on a week-to-week basis. Dunno, just an idea I thought I'd toss out there and see if you'd like do from now or stick with the screened comments. I'm up for either or.

Nice. I'm glad someone's exploring the reasons why Snape joined the Death Eaters. It certainly isn't mentioned in canon. I like the idea of him getting blackmailed into it by Lucius but it really being his choice thinking it's the only option left to him.

Glad you liked it :) Snape offers so many avenues to explore, especially how he became a Death Eater. I had a few ideas in mind for how he could become one, but finally settled on extortion.

I was torn between that and Narcissa wanting someone 'sensible' to make sure her fiance/husband didn't get in over his head, but the darker aspects won out in the end.
