Oh, I'm really looking forward to this one. I've always had a soft spot for Sandra Bullock movies and this one sounds great. Just have to wait until it comes out on DVD 'cause we watch it at movie night.

I know a lot of people didn't care for it, but I really enjoyed Miss Congeniality 2 because of the buddy cop feel along with the comedy. So The Heat was just totally tailormade for almost everything I wanted more of :D I hope you get it on DVD soon!

I really, really hoped it would be good, and it was pretty fantastic. :D I LOL'd pretty much all the way through it (ok, there was a bit too much police violence, but...that's buddy cop movies for you I guess, and since when is it the girls who get to be ridiculously violent in a nonsexual way?) and ahaha the ending! :D

They have fantastic chemistry and I agree, they should be in everything. They should be one of those acting pairs that does a bunch of movies together, like Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, or Matt Damon and Ben Affleck or something. (LOL I'm dating myself but you know what I mean.)

Would watch again.

Argh, I don't know how I missed this comment! Sorry for the late reply, but yep, I totally agree with you. At least a bit of the police violence was played off comedy style, so it wasn't quite as bad as it could have been I suppose? The ending was just perfect. I literally had my hands on my mouth at how adorable it was, and I was hoping it would be that cat, and then it was and it was touching and then absolutely hilarious and it wrapped up the movie for me so well. I also liked that romance was not in any way a prominent feature of the movie, but the hot love interest with a couple of clever lines was still nicely done and fun to see with a role reversal of the usual way it goes.

Haha, if you're dating yourself there, you're doing it to me too because I get both your references and I agree. I'll take them doing another Heat, playing friends, life partners, sisters whatever. They were so great together <3

THAT CAT!

(At the beginning the cat plot point made me squirm, being the "lone workaholic woman with only a cat" trope dialed up to eleven, but then the ending...LOLOLOL <333)

Mucca says, based on some blurb about Sandra Bullock in the pre-show for Pacific Rim which we saw today, that there is going to be a The Heat sequel!!
