By complete accident, I stumbled upon the Disney Princess Dressup Game. I thought it would be really dumb, and to be honest, parts of it really are, but it's just. . . so. . . pretty. @_@;;

I'm especially impressed by how historically/culturally accurate some of the dresses were.

Haha, I guess it's not very "princess"y. xD I mean, why did Mulan want to dress up at all? She'd show up to the Emperor's gala wearing a stack of hay if it's what she was wearing an hour beforehand. (well, okay maybe she'd clean up a bit, but only out of respect for the Emperor.)

It's okay since I have a dinglehopper in my hair. It all evens out. *nod*

The Tang dress is so pretty! I wish there were more opportunities to wear floor-length dresses nowadays ... I mean, they're really not practical for modern life, they'd just get dirty and tattered, but they're so pretty. ;_;

Ohhhh man some of my dance costumes man!! xD I don't think you ever saw me in my Xingjiang dress but it is awesome (and includes pants! AS MANDATORY PART OF THE COSTUME.) I just wish there were more excuses to dress up in any costume to begin with. xD There should be a Halloween day every month!!

. . . Though I'm given to understand you could have one every week if you wanted to. xD Lucky!

xD;; Just some of them, there were also a fair amount of weird fake-Asian gown-type things you'd expect from ad research. It looked like each princess had dozens of different artists designing dresses with little to no restrictions or guidelines. Still, it's nice to see when people other than Chinese people bother with getting Chinese culture correct! ^^;;;

I find that the internet is an unreliable research source because all the good information is in books I can't read half of the time @_@

Continuing the talk on pairing names: I just realized that 春菊 is a ingredient in Cantonese cooking. Perhaps the English name could be "daisy crown".
