Yellow underwear works for Bryan !!!
Bryan Wong took the advice of his fengshui master and walked away with two awards at this year's Star Awards.
He won the award for Best Variety Show Host and an award for Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste
Last year he made headlines when he credited his Best Comedy Performer and Top Ten Most Popular Male Artiste wins to having worn his red underwear for good luck.
So this year, he managed to get a pair of yellow unbranded underwear after a frantic search. One can only wonder what colour underwear he will have on at next year’s awards.
Held at the latest night spot in town - St James Power Station, the Star Awards saw over two thousand fans turn up for the red-carpet Walk of Fame to cheer on popular Singapore TV stars.
This year's All-Time Favourite Award went to Chen Li Ping, who clinched it after a decade as a Top 10 Most Popular actress.
Crooner Mavis Hee, who made her first public appearance since her infamous "Call Me God" incident, presented the award for Most Popular Newcomer which was won by Project Superstar winner Kelvin Tan.
The Best Actor award went to Li Nanxing, while Ivy Lee took home the Best Actress award for her portrayal of a lawyer in Family Matters.
Veteran artistes Hong Hui Fang (The Shining Star) and Huang Yi Liang (Women Of Times), won Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor awards respectively.
During his thank you speech, Yi Liang spent time to clarify the reasons for his divorce.
It was also an emotional moment for Christopher Lee when he went on stage to accept his award for Top 10 Most Popular Male Artiste. He told the audience that the past months have been rather trying on him, but he will take responsibilities for his actions.
The 35-year-old was arrested on suspicion of drink driving in October.
Lee was seated beside girlfriend Fann Wong throughout the award presentation.
