Even though most of my mood themes seemed to have evaded that size limitation, it does irk me because I've seen many large sized mood themes that were very nice!

I haven't had the time to work on any mood themes lately (most of this year in fact). Thank you for for informing me! ^^ I use firefox so I never really noticed that LJ did that :o

Hi. I've been busy these last weeks, so when I noticed some changes to my moodthemes I assumed it was because my Paid Account had expired (like I said, I was busy), but now that I came back home and relaxed, this post is the one with most information on the change.

I've tried some of the LJ official news comms, but either I'm a lousy reader (totally possible) or the info I want is not there. Do you know WHY they decided to resize the moodthemes? Right now it makes no sense to me, and that's just making me angrier (my favorite moodtheme came in sentences. In the new size, I can only see black squiggles. *breathes deeply*

I know where they reported it, but they never said why. I even asked them directly but didn't get a definitive answer on the subject.

By the by, if you setup a mood theme and your paid account expires you keep the mood them. You just can't setup new ones in basic status.

I'm still steaming over the whole thing (I spent a lot of time making my sentence moodtheme, and it's not as if I can use it somewhere else) - and I've gotten so used to Component I still haven't changed it even though my Wolf's Rain mood isn't showing.

I just would like to know why. If it makes sense and it's for the better good, hurray (kinda). But not knowing AND that they haven't said, is just making me antsy.
