I'm halfway through reading this Glee article, and it's very interesting. I was always aware of the misogyny on the show, but it's pointed out so much that I hadn't actually realised.
I like that she backs up her claims -- because, really, she's not just making this stuff up on the spot. She has two entire seasons to support what's she saying.
I guess we can only cross our fingers that things will turn out better in this season... although we shouldn't hold our breaths? ;D
It would be great if it did improve this season, though yes, I'm not going to get my hopes up! Though I think I read somewhere that they're trying to focus more on continuity this season, and plot lines which revolve around the characters rather than the other way around? I guess it's a possibility that some of the misogyny could be 'removed' in the process.
There is more continuity to be found in this season, so definitely a tip of the hat in their general direction when it comes to that. I still don't have any idea what the writers are doing with Quinn (and whether they actually have an idea themselves), and don't get me started on Mercedes, but...
I don't know. I'd be like: *wipes a tear away* "Kindred spirits, yo. *suddenly serious* Did you know that we have the power to let our orientation rub off on animals? Yep. All we gotta do is look at them." ;P
Yeah, I don't have any idea where she went to school, but... seems an odd choice of song, in any case.
