I hate Kurapika's voice in spanish, and I love both Kurapika dubs in Japanese and Filipino. Kufufu

Kuroro's voice is cool too.

thats becoz the dubbers of the Filipino dub are from telesuccess, thats why the dubs are almost the same ( i think), the people there really choose who's best to dub it and who has an exact voice match...

I watched the anime in Japanese with pretty English subtitles because I fail at learning languages. There was no English dub when I started watching, and now that I've gotten used to the Japanese voices, I don't want to hear any dub. I dunno. It just gets confusing for me. I did watch a scene between Gon and Killua in Spanish though, and it made me giggle because they both sounded kind of like skinny adult guys on caffeine pills.

I absolutely love Senritsu's Japanese voice. And that weird roll in Hisoka's voice when he drags words out is perfect. Kikyou's shrieks too.

As for how they matched up to my imagination, I think they're probably a lot better. Heh. I don't really imagine voices when I read manga.

Dub hopping can get a little disorienting. ^_^

I was surprised at how deep Killua and Gon's voices were in the Spanish and Italian dubs. It wasn't a totally bad thing, but it was different.

Now that I think about it, Gon's voice was kind of deep in the English dub, too...

It really can. ;; It's easier with some series though. For Witch Hunter Robin, I could only find so many English dubbed episodes where the audio was timed right. So I watched half the series in English and half in Japanese, but the voices in both were pretty easy to match up.

I'm probably just used to Killua and Gon being such kids. Voices that sound older don't fit.

Oh, ouch. I dunno if I could handle that.

I've watched the Japanese version for as long as I can remember and there wasn't any dubs back then. Recently tried to watch the English Dub but I couldn't get beyond the way they prounounced 'Gon' as 'Goon'.

I've always loved Killua's voice though (because I love Kanako Mitsuhashi) but who could NOT love Hisoka's Jap voice? XD Haha.

lol. The English dub had a few things wrong with it...^^

It's a pet peeve of mine when some of the actors pronounce the name right and then some of the others didn't seem to get that memo (at least be consistent, dub). I haven't watched the English HxH dub in a while, though, so I can't remember if this happened.

It's been a while since I watched it as well. I don't remember if some of them got it right or not; but I really couldn't get past the first few episodes.

I remember liking Leorio though.

Thing I hate most about dub's though' even if they're fairly good; is how some of the voice actors really struggle to say those long japanese words when refering to something. Usually they'll be fine! Then that word comes along....

I love Killua's voice in Filipino~ <3 [although he also sounds like Machi for some reason.] Mitsuhashi's voice is awesome, too! [though I was dissapointed at first when I realized she was a girl! XDDD]

Voices in Filipino are easily recognizable.. There are voices of characters that are the same with other characters of a different anime series. I admit they lack quality and diversity, sometimes... Sometimes I just cringe and scream through the lines if the voices and the characters don't match. D:

I have yet to listen to a Filipino dub (I intend to find the HxH dub, though), but I've heard about some of the dubs that didn't go well. ^^;

But the same things happen in American dubs, too. There are only a few anime companies that dub anymore and they resue a lot of their actors, so it becomes a game to recognize the voice (and then complain that you're hearing it *again*).

Japanese and almost all of what's available in English. I didn't care for most of the principle English VAs; the best ones were the minor, one-off characters. Obviously, having lived with the Japanese cast for years, I'd be biased, but at the same time, I was desperate that the dub be good enough to show some friends who don't do subtitles.

Ah, I remember that Hisoka's VA seemed to take the approach that Takahashi Hiroki did with Hisoka's first few lines (before settling on that distinctive voice we all know and love). Glad to say I don't dislike his work at all. XD

I envy those of you who've seen the Filipino dub. :O

I found the main roles in the English dub a bit off, too, and that's the version I watched first (I also have people who don't do subtitles). So, I don't think you're completely biased. I didn't think the dub was horrible, but it wasn't great either...
