This Week's Theme: Squicks

First off, apologies to everyone for forgetting to post a theme yesterday;

Everyone has squicks, even those of us who are open to almost anything. Many of us also have things we thought we could never tolerate that turned out to be wonderful.

So, this week, your hpthemes mods are asking for:

SQUICKS

Yes, we want you to recommend stories you never thought you would be able to read without vomiting or being sent into a panic attack, but for some reason or other gave a chance anyway. purpledodah noted that she has some former squicks that turned into kinks, and those are fine! In fact, those are exactly the kinds of fic we are looking for!

So, go ahead: rec the ones that you never thought you would look at, or never thought you could love. Ones that you read by accident, or because the warnings weren't sufficient; ones you read because the work was recced by everyone you knew, or by someone whose opinion you trust. Ones you didn't want to like, but found yourself loving anyway.

(This has the potential to be the list of the best fics of all time!)
