Oh, that was sweet! I love their interactions, and the ending is perfect.

What a fine story. This whole episode in OoP always screams "missing scene fic!" to me, and I can easily believe this one to be canon. The characters and their interactions ring so true. Lovely ending.

Great IC lines: "With that example, who can be surprised that Potter's next move was to hop on a Thestral and go gallivanting off to London to save his mongrel godfather. You should be teaching them caution."

She was silent, her eyes looking anywhere but at him. He had a point-of course he did-and yet, she couldn't say she thought he was necessarily right, either.

Nicely done, mystery author! I like the interaction between the two of them - their respect and concern for each other shows through beneath their words and I enjoyed the sense that they had grown over time into friends.

The warmth, and respect that you show these two characters share, their real friendship, made me think of their fight at the end of Deathly Hallows and made that scene more sad and poignant.

I love it when a fanfic opens up for me new layers in the original story. Thanks for writing.

So nice.... I subscribe to everything the earlier comments mention...; I just can add another favourite halfsentence: Minerva in any sort of weakened state was disconcerting..

Do you have this on FF.net so I can put it into a "Community"-archive??
