Through the celophane I could see this mangled little brown wrapped pair of cd's smeared with black oil. Hmm. Wonder who this is from... The back of the envelope had this standard message of ( Read more... )

That's about what it looks like, doesn't it? Grease eating MONSTER snails with big teeth. Did the disc in the plastic case originally have a lid? 'Cause it doesn't now. The bottom looks like it got scraped around on a floor. I'm going to clean it here in a bit and test the both of them and let you know if they work or not.

Either way, thanks for sending them! :D

"Constantly making changes" seems to translate to raising stamp prices while receiving the same crappy service. :-/

Sucks about the discs! *kicks the USPS for you*

well.. *shrugs* It could be a lot worse. the USPS is pretty good if you compare it to a lot of other systems in the world. This is the first major mishap I've had.

The Royal Mail in the UK once delivered to me a Jiffy bag filled with shattered pieces of CD. Yes, they'd destroyed the box and the CD *completely*. It was in a plastic post-office we-destroyed-your-mail bag. I think they're all pretty much as bad as each other these days...

ohh, do you have a picture? X)

You know, whenever Trey would get packages from her mom, they always looked like they were kick-dropped from the UK all the way to Oregon. And you know, I think most of that damage happend on the UK side, actually. :\ Trey's packages to me from the UK were always like that, too.

sadly not, back then I didn't have digital camera. The amazing thing was the jiffy bag was mostly intact, it just had a chunk missing from one corner...

I dunno why the stuff that got to the US was so destroyed - mostly our postal service isn't terrible for destroying things; just occasionally they seem to get their stomping boots on....
