Something...kinda small and...white.
Amaterasu barked happily when she spotted Vash, running in a wide curve to end up running next to him, back towards the caravan. Her mouth hung open in a grin as she looked up at him, continuing to run the whole time. She seemed entirely at ease with both the pace and the current predicament, as if she and Vash were out for an early morning jog together. She could keep him company for a while; besides, all that flailing was really amusing to watch.

When he finally arrived to watch the goings-on what he hadn't expected to see was an animal alongside the man whose name he couldn't see. But why beside the man and not chasing him, or carrying him, which was what he'd expect a normal animal to do? Not that it looked normal, those markings...
Well. At least he wouldn't be disappointed for entertainment. With a slightly wicked grin, he waved and waited for any sign that they'd noticed him.

"Whoa! Hey! So, you decided to run with me huh?" He said with a smile in response to her happy barking. "I thought I'd get left behind." He was even more worried since it seemed his powers weren't as strong here, normally he'd have gotten much closer in the time he'd been running.
"You know I'm not usually like this, aheheh." Scratching the back of his head nervously while still running as fast as he could. Of course, Vash would do stuff like this a lot, but he wasn't exactly going to admit it.
"I really need to get home! D-do you think we can catch up?"

She could smell Beyond, but Amaterasu could also smell a bunch of other people on the caravan, plus the giant, and the large amount of dust wasn't helping either. Maybe if she notices that his smell stays steady and strong she'll look around for him, but that will take a little bit of time. She's focused on the man next to her who smells delicious, minus the tang of metal and something else she can't identify ( ... )

He felt horribly disappointed in himself that he couldn't help, so Jack returned to his room and opened a window. The least he could do was cheer the guy on. "HEEY!" he shouted, unsure if the person could hear, "Don't give up! Come ooon! You can do it!"

Upon hearing the shout from Jack he looked up to where he could just see him. The cheering lifted his spirits; someone cared! He actually manage to run faster somehow.

"I guess they're friends?" Jack wondered, but figured it was a good thing that the red guy wasn't alone. "Keep going! You're almost there!" he continued to call.
