2) No voting for yourself. Just skip the poll that you're in (unless you WANT to vote for someone else) :)

2) You can change your vote. What I'll probably do though (as you are not the only one) is just go in and see who voted for themselves and take that into account if the final numbers are close.

what kind of things does that club entail? i went looking for some old posts but there were no tags in the clubs community. :D

It actually isn't a club, it goes on in the main community. The last debate's comments were screened for points-counting, but the previous one is here. You have them once a month and then have to count the points.
