I should be delighted to attend your class, and honoured by the privilege. I do recall your fire-lizards fondly, particularly the green Auntie Two. Is the second day of sevenday our Tuesday?

Feel free to spoil the deliverer of this message with an extra head scratch or two. And if Tuesday is the second day of your sevenday period, then it is Tuesday.

I'd be delighted to come. Glad you're getting this class together. Don't worry about replying. I'm chuffed and I already have someone in mind to be a guest.

I very much appreciate the invitation, but as I am a) fairly busy these days, and b) already in possession of a rather high-maintenance pet - namely, a Devinesian devil, acquired since your Sorting - I'm afraid I must decline. I realize fire-lizards are rather more than just a pet, but nevertheless, I think an egg ought to go to someone who can give a fire-lizard the time and attention it deserves.
I hope the hatching goes well and that all the babies thrive in the care of their new owners.
Sincerely,
Professor R.J. Lupin
