Okay, I've just scared the bejeezus out of myself by looking up and catching my prismed reflection in my new discipline achievement award crystal, which is on the shelf over my computer. Oh, please, point and laugh all you want. 's what I'm here for, and I have tons of these. More than one person's fair share, if I do say so myself :-)

But, come on! You have to admit that the theory sounds good, right? I mean, if your odds of stumbling are, say, 1 stumble for every four steps, then if you take sixteen steps, you're going to trip four time. Ergo, if you cover the same distance in only four steps, you're only going to trip once. Of course, it's gonna be a spectacular one, so scout ahead for fences.

I was exacerbating one afternoon in college when my roommate started to open the door so I leapt from my desk into my closet.

"Jay?" he asked, seeing my computer and my chair and the shut closet.

"Yes?" said I.

Oh thank you. At least all the "cool" girls were being surprisingly sensitive and didn't laugh at all. They forgot about it the next day and I just laughed it off with my friends.
