Honestly, don't get to worked up. I'm wondering if they're filming there (it looks to be a different PORTION of it as well) to be some other place/planet, etc. It may not be Darlig ulv Stranden. I'm taking it with a grain of salt. NO ONE has implicitly said River is his wife, save what I saw on the Sun page. And, as you said XD; It's the SUN ( ... )

Thanks, I needed someone to say something calming like this, haha =)

Mm, I'm hoping they're using the beach for another location too. It just initially felt like too much of a coincidence and a big slap in the face, whatever they're using it for - like Moffat's going, "Look what I can do now I'm the showrunner! Suckers." I would very much like to be wrong, though.

I'm cool with them bringing River back (since I didn't think she was that huge of a deal as most made her out to be? XD; That and my mom went "She's his MOTHER!!!!" after watching the episode) - LOL! Yeah, while I'm not jumping hoops at the idea of River ever coming back (it's the idea that the Doctor is close in any way to someone who clearly knew him so little that bothers me), I've accepted that it's going to happen and I'm OK with it. So I hope very much that you're right and there's nothing to worry about!

And if all else fails? You're welcome to join me in the Alt!verse. :3 I'm quite happy there. - Haha, I may very well take you up on that! =D

Seriously, I'm going to be watching season 5 purely as fun crack. Generally well written crack with Epic-Love-of-the-Week (and River Song--of course, Moffat, of course) and the occasional guest spot for Jack, but still crack.

Like season 1 of Torchwood: if you don't invest, you don't care enough to really mind about the WTF and can still appreciate the good stuff. (Lord knows my personal canon is a weird AU swirl ever since CoE, but that's not a Moffat thing so much as an RTD-loves-angst-WAYTOOMUCH thing.)

Plus, the companion is a cutie!

Haha, I love this theory! If S5 is bad on the shipper front, this will get us through!

Plus, the companion is a cutie! - Agreed, I can't wait to see her and Eleven in action; I'm just disappointed that this has put a damper on it. Trying to take it with a pinch of salt, though - and ignore it as crack if I don't like it XD Loving this method very much.

It's an excellent method whenever shows just get... weird. And, hey, AUs are totally canon. XD

Trying to take it with a pinch of salt, though

I'm guessing/hoping either it's Eleven saying goodbye to Rose (which I doubt, because I don't see the man who married off the Doctor right before Rose's return ever doing that) or just a coincidence. I mean, it is a very very pretty beach, and if you want to film by the ocean near Cardiff, you'd probably go there.

Also, sorry to be a bother, but I am assuming you are too busy/uninterested in betaing/Brit-picking the TW fic? Just thought I would check before I put up more of it. :)

WORD.

WORD WORD WORD WORD WORD.

Except for the just getting excited about series 5 thing.
That's a feat I will not be accomplishing any time ever.

*SQUISH*

In a good, affectionate way. Not like I just dropped an internet piano on your head.

That beach is sacred or something. I'm so hoping roxyk630 is right and they're using it as another location - but even then it somehow feels wrong for Moffat to be traipsing his anti-shipper boots over any single part of it.

I suspect (choose to believe) it's just a convenient rocky moody location. No sign of sand in any of the shots I've seen. Several of the pics even look like they have some sort of large scenery screens set up behind them.

But yeah, so not happy to see Ms Smug again. My personal crack theory of the day is that River is Amy's mother, and follows the new Who tradition of mothers who annoy the Doctor. Amy Pond - River Song, you see the connection? If the next new character is named Johnny Ocean or Creek Johnson I'm gonna worry.

Anyhow to get revenge on him for taking off with her daughter she flirts/teases with him. Joke's on her now, though, stuck with a monocromatic wardrobe and taking care of somebody else's imaginary children.

My personal crack theory of the day is that River is Amy's mother - I can't tell you how much I laughed. This is inspired.

If the next new character is named Johnny Ocean or Creek Johnson I'm gonna worry. - LOL. Can we have Jonathon Creek?

Joke's on her now, though, stuck with a monocromatic wardrobe and taking care of somebody else's imaginary children. - I felt bad, but I laughed again. A lot. XD

I actually thought they were filming in the quarry again; I didn't realise it was the same beach. Huh. Perhaps they're using a different part, or as a different location? They do tend to re-use a lot of locations, don't they?

And as for River Song... that irritates me, but then I just sit back and remember that she died and had to live out eternity in a computer. It does take a bit of the sting out.

I feel no personal obligation to take anything not written or approved by RTD as canon, and yes, it is in The Sun.

Indeed! I'm looking at it as an entirely new show (this Doctor couldn't possibly be my Doctor, after all! Which is what I said after Ecclescakes left, too.) with a different Doctor and brand new people. Hell, even the TARDIS is new ( ... )

Also, the companion is lovely. I am totally envious of her hair. - Oh my God, so envious of the hair.

And of course, that was clearly the most important thing in that comment that needed to be responded to first.

They do tend to re-use a lot of locations, don't they? - Mm, you're very right, they do. I hope that's it!

And as for River Song... that irritates me, but then I just sit back and remember that she died and had to live out eternity in a computer. It does take a bit of the sting out. - Bwaha. Brilliant.

Hell, even the TARDIS is new. - I'm glad someone else feels the same and doesn't think I'm just being petty. You're right, it really will be an entirely new show.

Hair is totally important. Especially for those of us who only have really good hair days once every six years. (I don't know about you, but I'm doomed to fluffy semi straight hair that is that horrible mousey-blonde that isn't actually blonde so I have to dye it every six weeks to just put some colour into it.)

Whoops. *Thinks too much about hair* Double whoops because I turned a comment that was meant to be entirely about Doctor Who into one that was (is?) entirely about hair. *is shallow*

I feel I must add that I do like other shows Stephen Moffat has done. Have you ever seen Coupling? One of my favourite comedies. And Jekyll was not bad. But yeah, Moffat, don't you dare touch my Ten or Rose or Donna and stuff them up! *glowers*
