I cannot wake up today. Went to bed early, overslept, had a lengthy nap... still tired. If I'm getting sick, I'm suing somebody. (Then again, I'm probably due - I haven't been sick this month.)

What a fantastic picture! I totally would've used it as a reference. 8O The rocky bit is actually just supposed to be a sort of vast, stony wasteland... but I am unaccustomed to drawing/colouring vast, stony wastelands. Alas. (If you have ever seen the old serial Genesis of the Daleks, it was meant to be Skaro as shown there - but I couldn't remember what it looked like, other than having lots of rocks.)

But. I must've done something right, 'cos that pic is exactly what I was going for, minus the water, and I didn't have a reference. Score!

(Thank you, on both counts? Recently listened to his autobiography and I figured it was my obsession speaking, but I thought that, too. There were several things he said that I had been struggling to put into words for years, and this feeling of, "Oh, so I'm not the only one who thinks/feels X," which was unexpected. And sad, usually.)

I really do think so. He's got your turn of (intellectual) speed and sense of the ridiculous.

We also were religious zealots in our youth and have since been disillusioned and are pretty much trying to find interesting things with which to waste our time until sale of the farm goes through. We both feel more comfortable with a script, and people seem to like us and find us amusing and we're baffled as to why but wouldn't dare complain. (Mostly conjecture, but I'm pretty certain.)

(Seriously, though, that is my favourite compliment ever now! XD)
