Jaci carried a surprisingly small stack of books in her arms. Her robe was already unfastened at the neck, so it was hanging loosely around her shoulders, and her tie had been removed and shoved down into her school bag. She seemed tired, but there was alook of determination on her face. Jaci was a girl with a purpose, a goal. However, since it was Friday, part of that goal seemed to be in relaxing at least little before she had to go off again for her detention.
With a careful step, Jaci moved into the common room, and then paused, waiting for Niamh to join her before continuing further into the room. "So, I've finished my homework in everything 'cept for Defense," she was explaining, tapping the top book in her arms. "I just need to reread this chapter, because, well, it's best to know all I can in there, right?" Once the first year was in the room and the entry way was closed behind her, Jaci continued on, moving toward one of the plush couches in the center of the room and setting her books on the nearby table. "Sebastian and Juhi are going to teach me Expelliarmus today," she explained, tugging her robe off and dropping it onto the couch. "Do you want to stay and learn, too? Us muggleborns gotta stick together, right?"
