Week Name/Date/Time: 'Dark Sarcasm in the Classroom' / Sunday, 8th January 2006 / 10:11 a.m. Location: Hufflepuff Common Room Open To: Sammy Currently Involving: Tyra
Sammy was, to be completely blunt and honest, on cloud nine with silliness. She had just woken from the most delightful, cozy, warm, fuzzy-headed dream involving one Merlin Flanagan. It was sort of ridiculous, really, but any vision filled with Merry was okay by her.
He'd been riding this great big unicorn, which was odd in itself because unicorns don't usually fancy blokes. He'd given her a ride to the Quidditch Pitch, and when she asked if he was up for a pick-up one-on-one game, he nodded and stuck a broom beneath the unicorn.
It was fantastically strange.
Regardless, when she realized what time it was, she dragged herself out of bed and fished for some warm clothes. Finding her jumper too bulky for a coat, she grinned and reached for the cloak she'd gotten for Christmas. Perfect!
Bounding down the stairs, smiling and feeling chipper, she gave a wave to Tyra who looked to be wandering about. "Morning!" she cried, heading straight to the squishy couch by the fire. "How're you, Tyra?"
Ah! Sam was the perfect candidate, if only she didn't mind being friends with the house loner! She was only a year older and was someone Ty wouldn't mind being friends with. Someone to look up to perhaps?
So turning around at the call of her name Tyra smiled and waved back. "Hello Sam!" Ty replied back walking towards her. "Positively fine, and you?"
Ok, so maybe Tyra was telling a bit of a lie there. She wasn't 'positively fine'; she was actually sort of dieing inside for many things. The past few days Ty'd just sit in her bed with her hand over her heat making sure she was still alive and hadn't turned cold and bitter. Seems a bit foolish, but when you loose everything that you have it doesn't seem that way.
Sammy patted the couch happily, gesturing for Tyra to join her if she wasn't busy or heading somewhere else. It was always nice to have someone to chat to, especially on those cold mornings when bundling up in the common room was by far the most desirable thing to do!
"Tha's great!" she replied cheerfully, pulling out a pair of socks and dangling them near the fire. She waited, no doubt looking very silly, before looking back to Tyra with a goofy grin.
"I like 'em warm an' toasty!" she chirped, looking all too thrilled by the idea of cozy, warm socks. Such a simple pleasure would make Sammy Burke perfectly happy.
Happily walking over to the couch, Tyra rather plopped down (it was her common room afterall!). She just watched and laughed at how Sammy held out her socks to get them 'warm an' toasty'.
Tyra'd never actually thought of doing something like that to warm her socks. So she whipped off hers and did what Sammy did. "Now I do!" Ty said as she put her socks back on making her feet all nice and warm. She'd always resulted to just bundling up by the fireplace, or just staying in her bed that was nice and warm from her body heat.
