Today wasn't so bad. Had what I would call a fuck-up in one class but the kids take my human mistakes well sometimes - as in no crying (and Ogawa-sensei saved my ass in the end). Things are and aren't evening out. No offense, but you shouldn't envy my position until you've read all my posts on work and asked me questions.

It's not for another two weeks but I hope I have fun too.

Apologies accepted. My head's throbbing so it makes me short tempered, but I also am notorious for having an aversion to people who over-romanticize Japan, the Japanese people, and the language they speak. But I know you're smarter than that - words, especially on the internet, are not always clear in meaning and are often misread/read the wrong way.

Well, work is normally good as I love kids and having fun, which is what my job as English teacher at school is all about. But my main stress, besides the stress of being a foreigner in Japan and the usual day-to-day stresses including work and my insomia, is that my grandmother is dying, or is dead. I haven't been updated on the situation. For the most part, I am in denial. If nobody says anything, then she might be alright/on the mend. I can pretend it's not happening. It's really thrown me off as I am very close to her and I love her and it hurts to think she is dying and I am not there and she doesn't remember me or any of us.

I... hate to do this, but some news on Taiji can be found in this post and the comments. I've just learned about this now, but it looks like it's serious. What is this week?!

Anyway, X did LOUDNESS covers? I'd love to hear those, but this is the first time I've come across that information. In any case, I can point you to some LOUDNESS songs if you'd like.

Yeah I don't know what covers they did either! But LOUDNESS songs = always appreciated it. ;)
