I find it slightly ironic that I am not the only one not looking forward to going away this weekend, I am at least staying at a friends house in Newcastle, but this still does not really put me at any comfort as I am beginning to feel a little to departed from myself at the moment. yesterday i formally pulled out of going to the quaker fwcc triennial which is happening in dublin in august (i was meant to be going there to run the live-coverage-to-the-outside-world stuff which has become a bit of a speciality of mine), which is a shame - largely for the same reasons, of really having far too much other stuff (like making a house !) which i'll need to be doing at that time, & also the financial considerations of a week & a bit being over there would mean a week & a bit of not being paid over here.

it was a shame because i was looking forward to it, but sometimes one does indeed need to sit down & prioritise one's own needs...

Thank you, I am not good at saying no to Quaker things, but I am feeling more relaxed having made up my mind, which is good. Although I will miss going, I think that it is just the wrong time. Have contracts to sign next week.
