I feel thwarted

All four of my grandparents lived through the war in Holland, too. I am eternally grateful, especially after seeing this post, that I've never seen any blatant racism (occasionally a bit of unintentional ignorance, but hey) out of them.

I can understand why people feel so negatively about such horrid life experiences, but it's also really sad to know that people can remain embittered for so long.

You make me so homesick for Japan. :(
