So, I remember the media reporting that there were multiple endings or whatever, but I just saw the R5 and it was exactly the same ending as the workprint ending. Whatever. That movie was great until they ran into Weapon XI.

I heard the movie wasn't very good, especially because it strayed too far from the comic into typical hollywood territory...lots of explosions and other eye candy.
still gonna see it though.

well, comics are all about eye candy, haha. its not like the x-men comics (or wolverine's own series) were serious world-class literature. they even stuck basically to canon until deadpool showed up as the retard end boss.

Wow, really? I was laughing hysterically at it because it was so terrible. My boyfriend actually wanted to leave halfway through.

well, i managed to spend hundreds (thousands?) of hours reading the comics, so... i mean its a comic book movie.

i mean, dont get me wrong, marvel has never been haute literature, but i dont see how anyone who enjoyed xmen, deadpool, or wolverine thought the first 2/3 of this movie was bad.
on the flipside, the appeal is definitely less palpable if you aren't a fan.
