i don't know, you guys. i have over 100 Inception fics to read, accumulated in some sort of mutilated to-read list, jumbled from various anyone and everyone's recs. just looking at them is starting to make me cry. and is it so unfair of me to want to only stick to what my f-listers are producing, because it's a quiet circle but a mighty one? and i ( Read more... )

real world, fandom is giving me massive headaches, inception

I don't--that's a very long list of things for us to comment on! XD (I've been pretty bad and have been reading only what the flist produces/recs, but to do anything else would take too much time and drive me mad ( ... )

Haha WELL, I'm having one of those days so I'll try not to unload on you. I LIKE DIET COKE, and parks and food (I REALLY LIKE FOOD, ESPECIALLY LUNCHING). I like to read books about coming of age, and self-discovery and journeying. Basically, if a character starts out in a rut and travels though his/her own mindscape (or travels in a more literal sense) to the conclusion where they ~figure things out, if even a little, I'll read it. ALSO, YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED, BUT I LOVE BRACKETS. Or parenthesis, are you're more likely to call them. LOOOVE ( ... )

lol, that list is just an unreliable attempt at guidance. i was hoping (still hoping) that the fuck-all narrative about your life would leap off the page. screen. whatever. THAT WAS WHAT I WAS REALLY GETTING AT ( ... )

re: 2) lol, we are kind of opposites. i tend to romanticize war and revolution, and even though i get called on it all the time and actually wave NO WAR banners out my window (because i am never ever okay with civilian casualties), i feel it's something that will not change. D: can we blame lots of grand and poeticized ancient historical recounts for that?

re: 5) you are living my romanticized, set-in-Europe AU life. no lie. (although i am considering a job move to Europe perhaps later this year, if i get sick of China. WE HAVE OPERATIONS IN THE UK.)

re: 1) omg, the consumption bit made me laugh so hard, my stomach is hurting. your lack of consumption is giving me something that feels like consumption. xD

*____* your BAMF-ness blows me away. is the DUDE-ity that you do (and that i so admire) the reason why we write male characters, like...ALL THE TIME?

HOLY SHIT. STALINGRAD. IF YOU EVER ABANDON THIS, I WILL COME TO THE UK AND POSSIBLY KILL YOU. NO BONUS NECROPHILIA.

*sideeyes* ...how is it that you know about what i want to read before i do?

also, WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE FOR YOUR UPCOMING BIRTHDAY. BIRTHDAYS ARE VERY IMPORTANT. "NOTHING" IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE ANSWER. I AM A VERY DEMANDING GIVER.

Weren't you supposed to be paying Morpheus a visit? Also raincheck? I'm sure I can tlly exploit your generosity at some point. I'm assured of this.

(my narrative, idk. I'll try and come up with something once I recuperate from your absolute awesomeness :)

I AM SO BORING YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW. kirstenlouise January 9 2011, 16:51:53 UTC
Really, man. I'm so boring I give off a five mile radius of ennui that puts people to sleep.

Ask me anything, and I will tell you. Plz do not be making me summarize or pick things, because it is totally beyond my ability. ;_;

THERE WAS A LIST. lol. but no, really. we are all probably major ennui to other people IRL. xD

OK, HERE WE GO:
1) your childhood. so we can psychoanalyze the crap out of each other.
2) causes that are deeply important to you and whyyy.
3) your thoughts on Love and Marriage.
4) embarrassing and proud moments from your high school years.
5) META. GIVE ME META. ON ANYTHING.

You see how helpless I am? I couldn’t even pick. ;_;

1) your childhood. so we can psychoanalyze the crap out of each other.

My childhood was of the cliché, underwhelming-but-not-bad-enough-to-be-bad sort. No one liked me, I read instead of socializing because I was tormented constantly, I pissed my teachers off for being obnoxious (albeit smart), etc. etc. SO YOU SEE NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

2) causes that are deeply important to you and whyyy.

I’m a big proponent of antitheism. Religion has been used as a justification for so much hatred, ignorance, and pain that I won’t agree to disagree. I don’t believe in tolerating the intolerant. I can’t stand it when people say, “But it’s what I believe.” I don’t think anyone has the right to hold beliefs that promote human suffering. I agree with Christopher Hitchens that religion poisons everything. There is nothing that can be accomplished by theism that can’t be accomplished as well (or, typically, better) by secular humanism.

3) your thoughts on Love and Marriage.There’s a tendency, in ( ... )

1 & 2) I SEE WE ARE LONG-LOST TWINS. except you probably weren't a bit of a compulsive liar in the second grade, and had your mother called in to discuss this fact. to this day, i have no idea why the hell i did something like that. PROBABLY A CRY FOR ATTENTION. IDK. Hitchens FTW, and i love the whole prayer-around-his-cancer wank, and how BAMF he is in the face of death ( ... )
