Oh, this is the vid of my heart. It's got all the best bits of the show, right there, rolled into a perfect little vid. Dutch kicking ass, Dutch drinking with the guys, Dutch goofing around with Johnny as well as the Dutch/Klein stuff. Mpf! Right into the pleasure centre of my brain. Great editing, and perfect song choice, flawlessly executed. This one is a keeper!

Ahahaha -- THAT IS BASICALLY THE OUTLINE OF THE VID. \o/

And I'm so glad you like the song! I had to edit it fairly severely, because the original runs on too long and (like a lot of dance music) gets kind of... boring and repetitive. But when I trimmed it down, it felt just right to me, and I'm so glad it felt that way to you too. :D

There's so much to love, but I was particularly struck by how you made the connections (starting around 1:46 and again around 2:08) between Dutch at different times of her life through mirroring/continuing gestures/motions between clips. (Even though I'm familiar with the source, I think that's got to be a really effective way of communicating to a new viewer that this is the same character as a child vs adult.)

Eeee, thank you! I think those juxtapositions did work; people at the con with no source familiarity at all seemed to pick up with no problem that it's Dutch and baby!Dutch, not, say, Dutch and a daughter.

Also, a couple of people at the con who'd never heard of the show asked me "Is that really the show? Is she really the main character?" It was so satisfying to be able to say YES.
