My magic was taught, to start with. I asked Master Yen Sid to teach me magic so I could better protect my kingdom. With it, I can attack creatures of darkness, and seal rooms so that no one may enter. My mage Donald uses many spells as weapons, and knows some healing as well, but it's thanks to his staff that he can do so. All magic is taught... we've never heard of someone born with it, much less have it as a 'part' of them.
