dieting tips, anyone?

so i need to lose some weight. i don't really like to exercise aside from going for walks when i can so i'm thinking i just need to diet. i figure if i eat just salads (with minimal low-fat dressing) and drink low-fat milk and eat plain grilled chicken and string cheese for protein i should lose some weight. but if any of you have any ( Read more... )

Carbs aren't all bad. Like, it's much better to eat a potato than a snickers bar, etc. Though, yes, I don't know the exact day, and I suspect that it varies from person to person, but carb cravings WILL go away. I mean, you should still eat things with some carbs in them, I would guess, but try to switch to healthy carbs where ever possible; IE, whole grains etc, etc, etc,. Also, I you haven't already, stop drinking sugary pops... I couldn't remember if you drank diet or not. I know that being on a diet can be difficult if you work at a gas station... having worked at one. (and though I wasn't on a diet, it pissed me off that unless i brought some A1 classy meal along with me, the only food available to me was shite) If you like walking, you might see about getting some ankle weights. If you're wearing pants, people won't see them and you won't look like one of those old ladys that is powerwalking with huge dumbells in her hands. Also, when you walk, see if you can find areas where there are a bunch of stairs, not necessarily to only ( ... )
