[The former program's face appears on the screen, pale and unblinking.] What happened last night? [A long pause, and then she shakes her head.] Never mind. Whatever that dream - that nightmare - was, I just hope it doesn't happen again.

But I saw the sun rise this morning. [The ghost of a smile touches her lips.] And the library has been rebuilt.

[She puts her head to one side, just looking at him for a minute before she speaks.] Even if the fog comes back, one day of sunshine is better than no sunshine at all.

I suppose so. [He sounds... distant? Almost distracted.] Thinking about it, I doubt the fog will come back this time.

I don't mind if the fog comes back. But it would be nice if the monsters stayed gone, at least for a couple of days.
