Note to self: The new section of Highway 395 is not the way to go if your destination is Minden or Markleeville or Carson Pass and so on. I had received some word of that fact and was ready to act on it but changed my mind at the last minute. If you don't know Carson City really well, you will have no idea where you are when you reach the end. You
