I had an email waiting for me this morning from Dreamwidth so the same applies to me. I haven't used that account for ages and mine is only the basic package but even so if anything appears in my name it's not from me unless it's here on lj.

I'm fine at the moment, hope you are too.

Apparently the problem actually started with LJ! And spread from there to DW (who have at least issued the info) because a lot of people use the same email for both (and it's the email the spammers have used to search for accounts, it seems).
And yes, quite!

Ach, it's just a bit of a nuisance is all - absolutely the least of the worries right now :-s I just didn't want anybody to get spammed.
