The world of the ten thousand things

Brief notes about things I've been seeing and doing:

~ We saw the little bobcat cub again Sunday evening, same place along the road. It was smaller than I remembered, or maybe it's another one from the same litter. I'm starting to wonder if something happened to the mother for these kittens to be wandering around in the road like this. We stopped to ( Read more... )

I didn't read all of this. I apologize. Brain broken for reasons that may come online later.

Anyway, most of the black and studded teens hang at Panama Bay farther down first street and one of two private, independent coffee shops left in Livermore. It's next to Not Too Naughty if you want have the adult experience while Avia enjoys the teen ambiance. :)

Actually, we have observed that too. But, more's the pity, we weren't at Peet's seeking hip teen society... it just happened to be next door to the burrito joint where we were picking up dinner, and I was sleepy so we nipped in for a frappi-whatever-you-call-them. I *wish* I had that kind of free time to go hang about downtown in the shops! I vaguely remember being that kind of person, and I think it was fun.

Boy I hear that! Every time I think I'm getting ahead of the game and might have a few spare minutes, something comes up and fills the void. I spent Monday evening and Tuesday morning getting Lanee's new car towed after her key broke while the car was in 2 hour parking. It ultimately took three tow trucks. Then I spent yesterday at school and now today is devoted to getting a new key. Sounds simple, doesn't it? *sigh* But the car's not in her name yet and .... let's just say many hoops must be jumped through in order to have the luxury of waiting 3-5 days to get a new key from Pennsylvania. If I'm very lucky, I won't have to drive to south San Jose to get a notarized signature from the registered (previous) owner saying it's ok to release a key to a minor child since he signed the car over to a minor child.... bureaucracy - the crazy ass letter combinations in the word are only the tip of the iceberg of how awful it is.

Not that I don't trust you or anything... ;) but I just had to Google the caves before I would believe it. And it's still unbelievable. Wow. I wonder who you have to (cough) know in Mexico to get in there.

I know. dionysusdevotee was saying that if that cave was in the US he'd be inclined to go sneak in. But, well, nobody wants to get mixed up with Mexican law enforcement.
