Christmas Dinner (Gathering for all Terminator and BSG pups - backdated to xmas)

Kyla had no idea why she decided to make Christmas dinner this year. She never really had the traditional 'Christmas Dinner' you saw in movies and she had to read up about it in some magazines to try and make sure she knew what she was doing. Leoben helped where he could, but mostly he let Kyla do all the cooking, helping to set the table and keep their son occupied and out from underfoot in the kitchen.

Smiling, he took a seat at the couch and little John ran at him, jumping right on his stomach, causing Leoben to let out a loud, "Ooof!"

"I don't remember the last time I had a sit down Thanksgiving like this." John said as he sat down near the Cylon and his grandson. His eyes ventured towards his daughter. He felt a little guilty not being able to provide something like this for her back home. He had never really had a 'traditional' Thanksgiving, even before the war. They never stayed in one place long enough.

Kyle had never had a Thanksgiving before that he could remember. Living with Star most of his life meant that he grew up scavenging. This was entirely new and he was completely new to everything and was very fine with eating anything, including dry turkey. He had spent the dinner trying not to eat too fast. He also could feel John's eyes on him most of the time. He still couldn't believe he was here, one on one time with John Connor.

After dinner, Kyle sat on a chair as he tried to digest his food. His stomach was still not quite used to being able to eat so much.

Allison stir hoarded food in the village and she had a small roll in her pocket even as she moved to sit beside Kyle. She was very glad to see a friendly face in the gathering.

"Hey," He said as he smiled back to her. "Having a good time?"

Kyle liked seeing everyone gathered, even if he missed a few people from back home.

"I am. I don't think I've ever seen so much food at one place that wasn't a restaurant here." It was odd, but still nice.
