Riley was paused in front of a really cute display window of toys. She smiled slightly and when her gaze met a fellow window shopper she smiled. "It's going to be odd to not see big displays of the holidays when they roll around."
Mia looked at the speaker and gave her a small smile, shaking her head. "Oh, you don't have to worry about that. The Village seems to go all out in decorating for the big holidays."
"Really?" Riley said a little surprised. "So the stores do up the window decorations like you'd see in New York?" That would be nice. It was something that she looked forward to in DC. Not that she'd ever admit to that back home.
"I've never been to New York, so I'm not sure how they compare," Mia admitted. "But I think what they end up doing here looks pretty spectacular. Even the stores that aren't open seem to have decorated windows for everyone to see and enjoy."
