Let's Dance! [tag to Melinda Gordon, OTA]

Jul 06, 2010 17:46

Faith arrived to the club P3 in a pair of leather pants and a dark pink backless shirt. She was early by about thirty minutes more than she'd intended, having misjudged how long it would take her to get there. Faith was meeting Melinda here. She made her way downstairs into the club and glanced around to see if maybe Melinda had gotten there early ( Read more... )

Damon was working behind the bar, and a little bit on edge, simply because Bonnie was working at Fangtasia tonight, he knew, and he still really didn't like the idea, even if it had been weeks and no one had threatened her. Bartending barely took half his attention, so he flirted and smiled half-way and watched the crowd restlessly with another eye. He really liked Phoebe, but this whole thing was making him a bit crazy. ...Maybe Eric needed another bartender? He'd wanted vamps, right? Then he could keep his eye on Bonnie...and Elena when she showed up at the club ( ... )

Faith had her eyes shut as she writhed against the bodies of people surrounding her. She hadn't been dancing long when she got the sense she was being stalked. Faith turned around still dancing with some guy she hadn't even really looked at. There was a very attractive man weaving his way toward her through the throng of dancers. He was dancing with a few people as he made his way toward her, but his eyes were definitely focused specifically on her.

Not human. Her Slayer senses could tell that much.

A sly smirk crossed her face and she made no attempt to cover the fact that she'd spotted him watching. Faith quickly moved farther away from his advances moving through the crowd of bodies occasionally choosing someone be them man or woman to dance with. He seemed the type that might enjoy the chase. Faith was only happy to oblige.

ooc:no problem!

Damon caught the smirk, and his own flashed as she moved away. His hunter's instinct flared and he moved after her, though he circled around, instinctively trying to herd her to an area of the dancefloor where it wouldn't be so easy to slip away. He still paused for a dance here, a murmur there, a touch to the sheep, many of whom had been willing donors when he needed a little pick me up.

He still never took his eyes off of her, though he let himself blend a bit more into the crowd, especially as he got closer, pulling in some of his presence, curious to see if she'd still sense him.

There were a few moments when she'd lost him, he was clearly a better predator than the typical fledgling vampire from her world. Faith was curious if he was in fact a vampire or something else. There did seem to be an overabundance of them around here. But a seemingly lack of dead bodies, which wasn't typical of such a large number in such a small area.

Then she sensed him near again and was drawn from her thoughts. She was used to this game, having done it quite regularly before. Luring vamps into thinking she was just simply playful prey, when the truth was quite the opposite. She was certainly playful, but far from prey.

Faith felt something. Less strong than before, but close. Faith let him come, ditching her current dance partner. She didn't look in his direction, but opted instead to dance rhythmically by herself, essentially luring him to come to her.

Melinda was early. She hoped she wasn't too early. As she made her way to the dance floor, she scoped Faith out. When she found the slayer she smiled, weaving through the grinding bodies to the other woman.

"And here I thought I'd be here first." She shouted over the music, smiling.

Faith grinned from ear to ear when she saw Melinda and got closer, "Hey, Mel. Yeah, I'm not exactly the type to show up early. Maybe I just got excited about hanging out with you." she laughed.

Melinda laughed. "At least someone was exited." She said, and, realizing how rude that sounded, made a face. "I mean, I was kind of nervous." She restated, looking down at her subtle, modest, 'not quite ready to get back out there' clothes.

"I haven't been out in..." She though for a moment. "A really, really long time!" She laughed.

"That's alright, Mel." Faith smirked, "I'll get you to loosen up!"

She reached to take her arm and pull her farther into the dancing people.
