I really enjoyed this; Harry's slow realization of what he really wanted, and Ginny's slow realization that it was not her. I think she knew that even before the Floo call from Draco. I'm not sure that you meant it to be this way, but I also found myself feeling compassion for your Ginny. She is obviously smart, and recognized her rival from the beginning. And I think she truly cared for Harry. Her love was a little condescending, but I think she loved him nonetheless. And she wasn't pushy or shrill or whiny or annoying, either (as she is so often portrayed in infidelity fics). And Draco was patient and cunning here, and as Ginny noted, he paid attention to the small things.
Oh, and I'd love to hear about Draco and Harry's adventures. *lol*

Thank you!

Poor Ginny. I deliberately set up this fic so she would seem more sympathetic, but then by the end of the fic, I was wondering what the 'objective' perspective would say. How long had she been losing Harry, even when she thought she gained him? I really don't know what the 'correct' perspective to take on this is.

And yes, she did love him. But it couldn't survive the realization that Harry had never noticed all the things she did for him that meant so much to her.

Sadly, I don't think there would be more to this fic, because I believe it would destroy the balance.

Thanks for commenting back.

Oh, I agree. I'm just always up for some PWP... *lol*
I've friended you. I hope you don't mind.

Um, wow. I really am blushing here and suppressing the urge to duck out of sight. :)

I'm very glad you like this. I had no idea what to do with these prompts at first, and almost wrote the fic centering around Astoria rather than Ginny. But in the end, I'm more comfortable with Ginny than Astoria, so I went with her. I had no idea you were an H/G fan, so that was a happy coincidence!

Thanks again.

YAY! hahaha, draco won~ he made harry realise what he really want... it's something ginny could not give. i like Draco... he's really cunning and witty! he noticed a lot of things about harry. it seemed that ginny didn't pay much attention to what harry wanted or needed despite staying by his side for so long.

i enjoyed reading this!

Thank you!

I think Ginny did notice some things- for example, Harry's reluctance to talk about his childhood- that were real. But in the end, what Draco noticed mattered more to Harry himself.

Seems like so long since I’ve read one of your fics. And I’m NEVER disappointed. Its interesting how each person finds something different in a story. One reader said that this made them feel very sympathetic towards Ginny. For me, there was no sympathy. I got the impression that although Ginny thought she knew Harry, she was still thinking of him (and ascribing meaning to his actions) as a hero… a tortured hero. It made me wonder how much of the real Harry she actually saw, especially since Draco was so spot on in his comments ( ... )
