Well, there's a bit of a hill in the way (I cycle over it a lot, using the border path).
I'm sure you'll know it by sight; the Knights Templar owned it in the 12th Century and plenty of dodgy owners since (currently it's the National Trust's turn).
And you'll have driven past it many times - it's that farm in the dip on the Dyke road (the one mentioned in a recent poppy post).
Only open twice a year to the public (can be opened for special occasions/education) and next is April 25th 2010 I think. Check out the 1860's kitchen and scullery (seriously....it's not a re-creation, it's totally original).
