I was shocked to learn that Wayman Tisdale died this morning after fighting cancer for two years. I didn't even know he had cancer. For those who don't know, Wayman Tisdale was a former basketball player and jazz bassist. I only know him as a good bassist as I am not really a sports fan. The most amazing thing happened last Friday. One of our weather stations in Plains, Georgia actually got brushed by a tornado and survived. The maximum winds topped out at about 110 mph. You don't usually have weather stations survive that kind of beating. I hope we got some good data out of it. Take care all.

I am just getting over a flu I got last week. I have never been so sick before. I am glad it is almost over.

Sorry to those I was chatting with yesterday for leaving so abruptly. My mom and bro brought back a tall, top-heavy, and powerful air compressor for my dad. I was fun trying to get it off the back of the truck and into the garage, but it was worth it.

I know I haven't been on hear a while so I thought i'd get everybody caught up on what has been going on with me. First I went to Jekyll Island on labor day with my family. I am going through a rough spot at the moment. Over the weekend I came off of a medication I was taking for Anxiety. My doctor wanted me to come off of it because of elevated Liver enzymes that showed up on my last blood test. Coming off that stuff is not easy. I have problems with dizziness and nausea. I don't usually get involved in political issues, but I feel very strongly about this one. We need to end Daylight Savings Time. All it does is put our children in danger in the mornings and screws up us Atmospheric Scientists when it comes to converting to GMT Time for weather maps and charts.
