Bad dreams as of late. I haven't been sleeping very well, and that combined with the weather is no good for a lady of my vintage. Still, there is a lot to be preparing for. I've gotten most of the Christmas preparations for my household done. Everyone I know is attending, aren't they? What would Christmas be without a prayer and a party

One of my grandmothers was dead before I was born. The other had advanced dementia. It's a pity that I never got a chance to learn anything from them, although I hear that one was a very unpleasant woman.

This election is a sham. They are likely underage for all it seems with the exception of the boisterous and gaudy Gai chap. Age shouldn't be a trouble when there is experience and talent, however they have failed to display any shred of maturity.

Age is always a trouble. No matter how much experience and talent a person has, these things-- intelligence, experience and talent --are sensitive to specific situations.

Most modern studies where I come from have agreed that wisdom, which is context non-specific, is the most valuable trait. They have also agreed that we develop the majority of our wisdom between the ages of fifteen and twenty-five.

Frankly, all these studies are rubbish when the candidates are from an alien society and faced hardships that the researchers cannot even imagine. Some of them aren't even human to try and understand their growth and development by our standards. This "death god" child, for instance.

The candidates themselves look older than fifteen, if this is a concern. My misgivings are about their attitudes. One doesn't want the position and his entries are less than encouraging to take his nomination as nothing more than a bloody joke.

The idea of an 'alien society' is garbage. We're all human in the end, and if someone happens to be more than human, well.

It's our world, and they're only living in it.

Quite upsetting, actually.

But they're just dreams, what harm can they do.

I actually always loved winter. It's a pretty season, and a good excuse to wear a soft coat and fashionable shoes.

When you get to be my age, you sleep less to begin with. I'm sure I'll survive. It's the imagery that's disconcerting.

The elections - shams of them, it seems like - may well be this City's largest failure. It's really quite ridiculous.

Well, maybe we can just pray for the entertainment of a hostile takeover.

Quite the mess of trouble for the management. Perhaps it would help to ease the winner into their new job.

I've always preferred the idea of a trial by fire. It's always a good idea for any undertaking to have a few early losses. Saves people the pressure of trying for an undefeated season.
